What Ignites Your Passion?

This past week, a gay bully, Brian Sims, posted two videos of himself in front of Planned Parenthood in Philadelphia harassing an elderly woman and a group of teenage girls. He repeatedly misrepresented and verbally assaulted the pro-lifers, simply because they had come to the abortion-mill to pray for the babies.

In response to the disgusting videos, several people in the Pro-Life movement have coordinated a counter protest to this man’s attitude. I myself was tempted to buy a ticket to Philadelphia to join the protest. Sims’ behavior was reprehensible, and his “logic” was fallacious and wicked.

But I got to thinking, as reprehensible as Sim’s behavior was, is not the depraved actions INSIDE the abortion mill MORE reprehensible? We’ve seen the video of the bully, and it’s awful, but the BIGGER bullies are INSIDE Planned Parenthood with lab coats and stainless steel tools.

The more gross sin is the dismemberment and murder of unborn children. All sin in a rebellion against God, and for forgiveness, we are ALL in need of repentance through grace.

As Christians, we should be sharing the gospel with the lost. I hope that through these events, many people will realize their need for the Savior and that the actions that flow from redemption bring glory to God instead of judgment. Pray for the single women, who feel like they must kill their child to find happiness. If possible, donate time to mentor kids in single-parent families. Be-friend a needy family and help provide for earthly needs, so that they will listen to you when you enlighten people about their spiritual needs. Get involved in the foster parent program in your area. Teach your own children how to read and interpret God’s Word. Pray for forgiveness in your own life.

But don’t be motivated by a bully (pray for him) who mistreated some people in Pennsylvania. The problem is much bigger and much deeper than that.

As a side note: From these news reports, it appears that this particular Planned Parenthood has repeatedly failed health inspections, failed to report child rape, and performs no background checks on employees.

There’s no such thing as bad press, but…

I’ve read that there’s no such thing as bad press, but when a certain group endorses your organization, you might not want anyone to really know about it.

Satan supports Planned Parenthood

The title of the article is “Satanists Defend Planned Parenthood Abortion Clinic From Pro-Lifers on Good Friday”

 

“The Satanic Temple believes that the body is inviolable, subject to our will alone,” Blackmore told the news outlet last year. “We consider theocratic reproductive mandates an attempt to control and degrade the individual.”

I’m sure the Satan worshipers didn’t intend to be self-contradictory in their statement of value for individual humans. Clearly, it was an oversight. And I’m sure they don’t hate the biological sciences as a plain reading of their statement would suggest. Since humans sexual intercourse is biologically designed to produce human offspring, it’s not clear why the Satan worshipers would blame childbirth on “theocratic reproductive mandates.” Why do they hate science?!!?!??

Planned Parenthood (PP) might not tweet out, “We thank the Satanists for their staunch support” out of a bit of shame, but really, I’m thinking the Satanists are getting a bad name by associating with the human butchers (PP).

Thankfully, God’s grace is bigger than the sin of Satan worship. God can redeem sinners of all flavors and perversions. Abortion is not beyond the forgiveness that is found in Jesus through repentance of sins. That’s the good news. Repent and believe.

Dead Kids Make the President Mad

And rightly so! Death is so sad. Unfortunately, the president is only mad about certain dead children. Unfortunately, he’s not so concerned with the hundreds of children, who are killed everyday in abortion.

Death (physical death, and separation from the Creator) is a result of sin as mentioned in Genesis 3. Praise God that Jesus came to re-open the way to life.

What a glorious passage is I Corinthians 15:20-26. One day kids won’t die. Abortion will end one way or another. “The last enemy to be destroyed is death.”

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” – John 3:16-17

“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks from the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14

Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.” – John 11:25-26

Repressing The Truth Leads to Evil

God doesn’t believe in atheists. In fact, he tells us in Romans 1 that everyone has enough information to face judgement for their actions.

As Romans 1 continues, it talks about those who repress the truth of God’s revelation. Those who repress the truth exhibit all kinds of evil without recognizing it as evil. So, much so, that the evil begins to be praised. And that’s exactly what we see in today’s headlines. Evil is being honored as good.

Only in a Christian worldview, can we have a recognize that evil exists, and only in a Christian worldview can we find hope in Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins. We ALL deserve eternal punishment for our rebellion against the Creator (not just the abortion providers.) We ALL have revelation from God through the creation around us. We ALL have a chance to repent of our sins and turn to Christ for forgiveness.
